Biography
Henry obtained his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Tulane University (2001) prior to attending St George’s University School of Medicine (2006). He then returned to his home to attend State University in New Orleans (2006-09) for his internship and residency in Internal Medicine.
A pulmonologist is a physician who specializes in the respiratory system. From the windpipe to the lungs, if your complaint involves the lungs or any part of the respiratory system, a pulmonologist is the doctor you want to go to solve the problem.
When should you see a pulmonologist?
You should see a pulmonologist if that cough persists for more than 3 weeks, or if it becomes severe. This should be done in consultation with your primary care doctor.
When else should you see a pulmonologist? The below symptoms can be related to a lung condition and a pulmonary specialist may be helpful:
- Chest pain or tightness
- Dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting
- Difficulty breathing, especially during exercise
- Fatigue
- Wheezing
- Recurring or chronic bronchitis or colds that impact your respiratory system
- Asthma that isn’t well-controlled, or has unidentified triggers

He then went to LSU Medical School in New Orleans where he was an Honors Program Graduate and finished in the top quartile of his graduating class. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, AL where he was selected as a Chief Internal Medicine Resident.

He then traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to complete a Fellowship in Intervention Cardiology at Hahnemann Hospital in conjunction with Drexel University, where he received extensive training in coronary as well as peripheral interventions and salvage procedures.
